// Project Notes
Objective: Recreate the camera-head character in the K-pop music video "Cheer Up" by Twice for an upcoming convention.
Problem: I waited until 2 days before the convention to finish most of the assembly.
Solution: Stayed awake for 2 full days before the convention to finish.
Made from scratch out of 3mm styrene sheet and 5-inch ABS pipe. I had to approximate the proportions to fit my own head, so the first version was a cardboard mockup that could easily be modified. Once that worked I moved to styrene — every panel hand-cut with an X-Acto knife, multiple passes per cut to get through 3mm. The ABS pipe was sectioned to form the lens shaft, and the dome lens itself was a circle of acrylic heated with a heat gun until it deformed. Electronics: Bluetooth speakers in the top, ventilation fan to keep my head cool. Two all-nighters got it done in time for Fanime.
